Therapy
Because I see it again and again, I passionately believe, talking to an experienced counsellor in a safe and trusting, non-judgmental relationship can bring greater understanding and change for the better. I work integratively, meaning that I draw upon different therapies that I have been trained in. If you’d like to know more about my training, please feel free to see About Me.
About Alex
Alex Cox BA and MA (Oxon), MA (Relate), MBACP accred.

I am a Relate-trained Relationship Therapist.
My BA and first MA were both from Oxford in Modern Languages and my second MA is from Relate in Relationship Therapy. As well as running my private practice, until March 2019 I worked for Relate in central London and before that in Swindon, Wiltshire.
In my experience,
clients can be empowered through therapy to
change their lives, and to find new ways of
overcoming what may at first seem
impossible.

I work integratively, which means that I draw on numerous therapeutic styles in order to provide you with the best support possible. These therapies are mainly systemic and psychodynamic. If you’d like to see the full list of therapies I draw on please see the Therapy page.

I have worked with young people aged 4 – 21 in teaching and pastoral roles.

I am an Accredited Member of BACP and I follow their Code of Ethics. I also receive regular supervision and am fully insured.
